Introductions

Hello my darlings and welcome to my home.

I wanted to take a moment to introduce both myself, and my blog.

The Writer

First things first, I have to introduce myself. Hello!! I’m the Stephanie, also know as Steph. I do a great many things, but writing has always been a passion and a hobby for me. When I was in middle and high school, I  was convinced (I mean CONVINCED) that I would become the next BIG writer. I even started (multiple times) to write a young adult novel. Although once I graduated, I had to focus on College and figuring out what I wanted to do with my life, so I haven’t had much time to get back into writing. Until now that is.

I do have a bachelors degree in Management Information Systems. I bet you are wondering why not writing, and the short answer is why would I? The long answer: writing is my passion, as long as it’s not something that I need to conform with. I like to be able to write what I want, when I want. Maybe in the future I can do this full time, but until then, I’ll go with my second passion…computers. Yep, I’m a nerd. I love working on computers, figuring out what’s wrong with them and then fixing them. So I work in the IT department of an awesome company.

I do currently have a boyfriend, and although we do tend to have fights, he has my heart. However, he probably won’t really be seen or heard from here, mostly because I believe that his privacy is his own and not something that I can just put out there and secondly he is not a social butterfly like myself. We typically try to just enjoy the ride that is life.

We do live in a tiny one bedroom apartment with our three lovely little kitties that I have acquired prior to our relationship. Even though when we started dating they were mine, they quickly became ours as each one of them has adopted him in their own way. You’ll probably hear a little bit about them in my blog posts, but their names are Michael, Cali and Dani.

The Blog

Last, but definitely not lease, The Blog. Now the question is, how to do an introduction for a Blog. When I first started, I knew I wanted to write about life. Life is the easiest thing to write about. It’s truth, it’s what really happened. But then I found myself writing about these amazing dishes that I had made and I realized my calling was a life, love and food type of writing. The foods I made worked with the emotion that I was feeling. One day as I scrolled through some of my favorite blogs, I realized that a lot of them were stay at home mom’s. But I wasn’t, I’m not even a mother. I wanted a blog about being at home, but to show that it could be done even if you had to work a 40+ hour week. I wanted to show that it’s not hard to make yummy meals, keep a clean house and still have fun even if you can’t stay home during the day.

So now this is my home, and you are all welcomed to come and go as you please. You can stay as long as you want. You’ll typically find me in the kitchen, but if you watch – occasionally I’ll sit on the balcony and sip a cold drink and watch the cars drive by.

It’s a simple layout with each section having it’s own tab:

  • Life is a tab that includes areas like love, faith and general life things that I have no idea where else to put. If you rest your mouse you can select which section you’d like.
  • Food is a tab that includes areas like recipes and meal plans . If you rest your mouse you can select which section you’d like.
  • DIY is kind of like that toy you REALLY wanted, but after like a month you threw it aside and haven’t really touched it. So right now there isn’t much there, but I am working on rectifying that situation.

Thanks for stopping by, if you get a chance, why not leave some feedback!

Until next time,

xoxo
Steph
